I always wanted to be an artist, to find a way of expressing what I felt in a unique way. I have tried many mediums, always receiving positive feedback but never feeling that I was good enough to express myself successfully.
I picked up a camera by chance and things starting making sense. At that time I started to feel like an artist, wielding an instrument that understood what I was feelings was incredible.
I feel very fortunate to do what I love. I get to meet and create with so many amazing people. Elizabeth is an award winning artist that I got to meet and create images with. She is such a beautiful soul, I had the most amazing time watching her create and chatting to her in her inspiring studio.
I am slowly learning that for me being an artist is so much more than creating amazingly unique pieces of art and chasing financial freedom, its about the connections and the memories you create along the way that really matters.
A life lived without connecting is borrowed time, getting closer and closer to death at each breath. For me being an artist is connecting with people and creating memories, this may or may not yield great art but it certainty makes me feel like an artist with a purpose.
